Route99
Steps of scheduling

  • Route 99 is designed as a tool to assist companies involved in all kinds of marine transportation. Route99 is a decision support tool in the sense that it identifies concrete recommendations to be acted on.

  • Route99 can be considered an assistant to the chartering manager as it has a tremendous capacity to do calculations, it has a built in experience and it can think smart.

Scheduling tasks

Illustrative decisions that Route99 generate:

  • Fix a coal contract 400,000 tons at rate 20 USD/ton

  • Take two carcarriers 4,500 carcap on tc for 6 months at 18,000 USD/day

  • Do not accept the new pool partner with three 450,000 cubft reefers as they will dilute earnings on existing partners

  • Relet the March and April liftings under the phosrock contract from Safi to Rotterdam

Users of Route 99

Users of Route99 include ship owning companies that have their own chartering department, chartering pool operators and major industrial cargo owners that have their own cargoes but also operate their own fleet of chartered in and spot tonnage.

Route99 is also used by consultants or investment bankers in analysing earning and rationalisation potential of shipping companies and operators

Chartering and Operations Functions

ROUTE99 is an integrated set of computer programs aiming to assist a shipping company in functions such as:
